i’m a CELEBRANT

If you’re anything like I was when starting to plan my wedding, you might feel a little overwhelmed and not entirely sure how the whole thing is going to come together. Thankfully, since arranging my own wedding and helping others to organise theirs, I have all the gear and plenty of ideas about how to make yours everything you want it to be, even if you don’t have a clear picture of it yet. My whole M.O in this game is to help couples identify what they want and make their dream day a reality. If you would like me to be your celebrant, this is how it would go down:

 We have a meeting - either in person or via Zoom - during which I ask you some questions about your dream wedding day. We talk vibe, tone, logistics and more to begin to build a clear picture of your celebration from start to finish. Where relevant, I share my experience to help guide you where you need it.

 I create a shared folder for us to continue planning your ceremony. It includes advice for writing vows, examples of ceremonies, and some of the legal paperwork that needs to be completed to make you official.

We have another meeting the month prior to your wedding date. We finalise details and make sure all the I’s have been dotted and T’s crossed.

 We do the damn thing!

I’m an m.c

A good MC sets the right tone for an event and gives a sense of structure so everyone can relax and feel comfortable that they know what’s going on and what is expected of them at all times. While it can be funny having someone’s brother’s best friend’s mate who is an aspiring stand-up comedian try out their material whilst MCing your event, it can also lead to a chaotic and groan-inducing experience for everyone. As an MC, I bring the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent (Ru Paul’s Drag Race, anyone?) to ensure that there is a balance of meaning, LOLs, organisation and banter to your event.
